ALBERTSONS HOSTS LOCAL HALLOWEEN EVENT TO CELEBRATE RELEASE OF THE PEANUTS MOVIE

Albertsons (www.albertsons.com) today announced a partnership with 20th Century Fox as the exclusive grocery retail partner for the long-awaited release of The Peanuts Movie, in theaters November 6th. Albertsons is celebrating the release of the much anticipated film with local community events, in-store incentives, and national sweepstakes opportunities. A celebratory community event will take place on Oct. 30th from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. at the Albertsons store at Eagle Road and McMillan Road in Meridian, Idaho (4700 N Eagle Rd). Shoppers will enjoy an interactive Peanuts pop-up museum and can take pictures at a Peanuts themed photo booth. The event will also feature an appearance by Snoopy, the world's most beloved beagle. Representatives from Johnsonville sausages will be manning the grill and cooking up delicious sausages outside of the store and Albertsons will host The Peanuts Movie Pumpkin Patch. There will be a prize wheel where shoppers will have opportunities to win tickets to a special advance screening of The Peanuts Movie as well as Halloween giveaways from Horizon, Nestlé and Pop Secret. Albertsons will also be giving away special recipes and Halloween pumpkins (while supplies last). For the sweepstakes, Albertsons will award one grand prize?one trip for a family of four (4) to Snoopy?s Home in California. The sweepstakes will also reward one customer in each of the Albertsons Companies? 14 divisions with a Peanuts-themed Xbox console and a copy of Activision?s The Peanuts Movie game.
