DESCRIPTION:CALDWELL\, Idaho   For more than 10 years\, the local community has shown their support for the Caldwell Family YMCA through the annual West Valley 5K/10K. West Valley Medical Center is proud to once again donate the proceeds from this year's event   scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday\, April 23   to its partners at the Caldwell Y.\n\n \n\nThe Caldwell Y's Health and Wellness programs give youth\, adults and families endless opportunities to achieve healthy living. In 2015\, about 400 participants took to the streets of Caldwell for the West Valley 5K/10K\, raising more than $15\,000 for this invaluable community resource.\n\n \n\nRegistration is now available at ymcatvidaho.org or westvalleyisbetter.com for the 10K run\, 5K run or 5K walk events. Adults and children who sign up before April 4 will receive $5 off the cost of registration\, and the first 500 to register will receive a race t-shirt and swag bag. Packet pick up will be available from 3-7 p.m. Friday\, April 22\, in West Valley's Indian Creek Room and from 9-9:30 a.m. on race day.\n\n \n\nThe day starts with a special warm-up with the Caldwell Y team at 9:30 a.m. and ends with a post-race baked potato party\, activities for the kids and more.
