About Us

At Central, we mean it when we say “we’re family”. Curtis Knight Sr. founded, owned, and operated the stores for decades. Currently, the second Knight generation runs Central Rent 2 Own and continues to grow the family business. While not every Central employee is a Knight, they might as well be, because at Central, we’re family. We consider each and every employee and customer as part of the family and we make sure to treat them as such.

We are proud to say we’ve been a part of your community for over four generations. The first Central store opened in Ontario, Oregon in 1977 as a TV repair shop, working to provide the best customer service in town. As time went on, we started to add more and more services to the business and after ten years, we officially transitioned to the Rent to Own industry. We love that renting-to-own offers our valued customers flexibility, affordability, and convenience!

As our business model has broadened to list more services, our locations have expanded as well. We now have four stores in Idaho and Oregon and are committed to servicing the Boise, Idaho Market, Southern Idaho Market, Eastern Oregon Market, and South Eastern Washington Market. Our customers choose us over the other local competition because we’re not interested in simply making sales, we’re committed to building relationships. Many of our customers have been renting with us for years and, in fact, their children have grown up and now started to shop with us as well!
